Howdy Annie Fans!

We wanted to wish you a Happy New Year and to brag a bit about our wonderful Karla Campbell. She was named Bass Player of the Year at  SPBGMA's 35th Annual Midwest Bluegrass Music Awards and Convention in a hopping Jefferson City ceremony this weekend. As you all know she is a very talented gal and we are so tickled that her hard work and showmanship have been recognized. She cried and thanked all the little people (that's us) and acted like the real prize winning and talented bass player she is, and we are busting our buttons we are so proud.  

Also at this convention Karla's talented husband Jimmy Campbell had his debut as the newest member of the Faris Family. Eddie Faris has left the family fold to play with Ricky Scaggs and Jimmy has stepped into his place with this high powered Midwest band.

So now that you are up on all the news let me tell you where the Hootin' Annies are playing the next few months.

On January 31st the Annies join the City of Fountains Sweet Adelines at their annual review "Women of Note" at 8:00 at the Off Center Theatre at Crown Center in Kansas City. Tickets are $18, Seniors and Students $15 and are available through the Heartland Theatre box office at 816-842-9999 or https://tickets.ahtkc.com 

This show should be a lot of fun with all these musical women together and our favorite bass player is the MC, a chance to get her dressed up in sequins and high heels! Come join us and warm up a January night with music!

March 23rd, a Monday Night, we are playing on at the Corbin Theater in Liberty Missouri

for their monthly Bluegrass Night. The show starts at 7pm and this is a fun intimate theatre so come early and get a good seat.  We had a ball when we played there last year and I know we will have fun again and hope you are there to share it with us. The Corbin is a 15N. Water Street, right on the square and is easy to find. 816-581-0045.  Suggested donation is $5

Thanks for your support of our music and for voting for the Annies in this SPBGMA Season. In all, there were 6 nominations for the group including Entertaining Group of the Year, Album of the Year, Songwriter of the Year (Stephie-Annie), Female Vocalist of the Year - Contemporary, and Entertainer of the Year (Karla-Annie).  It's TRUE that the real honor is in the nominations!
